After obtaining his First Class Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS VMU) from Penang International Dental College (PIDC) in 2015, Dr. Leong Yi Xian began his one and a half years of public service as a Dental Officer serving in Perak (Tapah and Ipoh).
During his stint, he was exposed to different specialties including Oral Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry and participated in many community outreach where he provided personalised services catered to the needs of the indigenous living in remote area with limited dental health support.
Dr. Leong strives to keep himself updated by attending conferences and courses organised by various dental bodies.
He completed his Fellowship in Periodontology and Implantology from Genova University, Italy in 2017 and obtained Part I of The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from The Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS Eng) in April 2017.
Currently, pursuing to complete his Part II in MFDS.
2019 is Dr. Leong third year as Treasurer of the PIDC alumni and he actively organised community outreach program such as dental/oral education to Soup Kitchen, home for old folks and children, residential community, etc.
Dr. Leong has special interest in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and joined private sector under the mentorship of Dr. Jeanette Chua.
